While they both have an anime style. The art style is quite different. The best way I can describe the difference is this. Blue Dragon=Dragon Ball Z. Eternal Sonata=Princess Monoke. As for why I think the Eternal Sonata will boost 360 sales. I think the boost will come from the Eternal Sonata/360 bundle. Blue Dragon moved a lot 360s that way.
