You clearly haven't played it.
I played it with my 5 year old nephew and no stepping so far.

You aren't the typical consumer.  Most people would leave the controller on the floor and walk away without thinking twice about it.  Nintendo told me to do it they'd say!  Have we forgotten the LCD debacle with the original Wii?
