Nintendo Channel got shut down? That's too bad, I wish I had written down some stats before that happened.

One thing I remember is that Wii Sports had an average of about 49 hours logged from all connected Wiis, disproving the myth that most people played it once or twice and then never again. I'm sure there were some meaty stats from other games as well.

It was a few months back.  Same time they shut down a bunch of other services like the News Channel, Weather Channel, Everybody Votes Channel, Mii Channel, etc.

By the end there, the only channel I cared about was the Nintendo Channel keeping track of all my gaming time.  Ugh.
