First of All Naughty Dog was making a fantasy game with the funds used for Uncharted in the beginning. Sony was the one who shifted Naughty Dogs direction to make the game the way it was. Look up Uncharteds development. ND doesn't have completely free hands, but they have a lot to play with while with Sony. They have a similar goal in mind which is basically one now. Same thing with Sucker Punch. Their games might not sell major amounts but Sony believes in their promise and can contribute more to their efforts through leadership now that they own them. Sony uses Sony Santa Monica to watch over a lot of projects. |
Oh please, do you guys wake up in the moring with rosed colored glasses. The games business is a business and wheather its Sony, Nintendo or MS, results count. Sony already closed down a few studios that did not produce results. They also just closed down a few MMOs because of no results. There is no such thing as Sony believing in a studio unless those studios produce results. The one thing you can give credit for is finding and buying talent so that talent remains exclusive to their console. Its smart business but please stop with the Sony as Ghandi act.
