No, it's Ninty's fault. Poor marketing and delaying all their good games to 2014. If they had been more prepared and marketed the system more then maybe their would be a bigger install base and more 3rd party support. It's on Nintendo to provide the install base.

Sure, third party titles can help drive the sales of the system, but like someone else pointed out, if it's not making them any profit why invest?

I think 2014 will change things around for Wii U, we'll just have to see how well it will do with almost no 3rd party support from major publishers like Ubisoft and EA aside from a few games. Hopefully Nintendo has some more Aces up their sleeve.
