No, I don't blame them. Nintendo needs to actively go out and entice 3rd parties to publish on their platforms, just like Sony and MS do. I know a lot of Nintendo fans are under the impression that 3rd parties should suck up to Nintendo and offer the great one their games on a shiny platter, but it doesn't work that way.
Nintendo needs break out the checkbook, offer 3rd parties support by advertising their games on Nintendo platforms, as well as porting and also help out on the technical side of things. Maybe send some engineers over, or hold sessions for devs to better understand their platform, as opposed to sending out thick untranslated manuals that don't help at all. Maybe even consult 3rd parties in the console development process and ask for what they want to see in their console. They really need to get active in this regard, or just have platforms where the only reason people buy them are to play Nintendo games.
