Yeah I agree. I love exclusives.

I'm not going to make a game for PS4 and Wii U, but I'd love to make a PS4 game and a Wii U game. Plus being exclusive with smaller titles can really drive up sales.

Well, the current formula of just porting games to Wii U isn't working. If they made the games different, it has a better chance of selling rather than just being the inferior port. Also, porting x1/ps4 games heavily downscaled is not going to be any smarter.

If the install base grows I can see it being worth a developers time to create something different and unique for Wii U. I see your point about exclusives and not being able to reach a wider audience, but I personally think that 3rd party games would fare better being different for the console.

I may be wrong, and I can see ZombiU waving at me, but to be fair it was released on Wii U with low install base. And yes, I can see x1/ps4 waving hello too. They are proof that a low install base can still sell games very well. But I personally think Wii U games will have to offer something different to sell well.

I think you misunderstood me ;)

I was meaning releasing a game on X as an exclusive can give the game more sales than if it was released on X and Y. Thanks to fanboys, exclusive titles get way more attention than multiplats. I was also only talking about smaller selling indie titles though. With big huge games like AC they'd lose a lot of sales going exclusive.
