There are lots of ways to get unity for free.

Also if you don't plan to make money off your game, the free version should be more than enough for your needs.

I was too ambitious. Now after realizing the truth I am using gamemaker and I dont intend to make cash from them. Thats why we are learning gamemaker.

Gamemaker is pretty nice. I've used it a bit more than a bit. Care to share your game ideas?
