I kind of feel like Nintendo is where the established userbase rests with the franchise.

So that does not mean they cannot try expanding it. They ported it to IOS already so that ship has sailed. The porting process would probably be very simple.

The same could be said about a lot of things.  However, I don't think there would be much expansion seen on the PS Vita.
