I don't think they need such a drastic price drop. They are probably making money with the bundles they have right now, and they could afford to offer a 250 console without games, and maybe a Mario Kart 8 bundle at 250 by the end of the year. That alone could make wonders, they could also cut the online support of Mario Kart Wii, to push players to purchase the new one.
