You make some good points people should listen to, if you think about it squeals that aren't hyped usually sell around the same amount as the previous game, while hyped squeals usually do better, melee wasn't so hyped yet still did better then the N64 game on a smaller user base, this is probably due to word of mouth and people coming over to play the game liking it and going out and getting it.
Take in all the fans of the past game who most likely want it, then the hype behind it to get in the new people, then word of mouth, and you got yourself a much better launch and I see that happening in Europe too, I would say 1 million to 1.5 million first week in Europe.
