I think MK8 will do fine though its sales will be much closer to Mario Kart on GameCube than the Wii one, but I think Smash Bros. is going to stun some people with it's relative non-impact. I just don't sense the same frenzied hype around this one as the build up to the Wii one (remember when people went nuts over the Solid Snake trailer?), it just seems like "oh ... another Smash Brothers game". It doesn't even look that great graphically to be honest, and I think it being on 3DS also is going to dilute its impact (just NSMBU/NSMB2 did). |
I agree, especially with the Smash part. There just isn't much insentive to buy a Wii-U for these games, they are not story driven games and you might aswell play these games on the Wii. I know several people who like to play ''Mario Kart'', but they really don't care that it's on the Wii or Wii-U. In fact, you could even play the Wii versions of these games on a Wii-U.
And Gamecube sales levels of Mario Kart will be a massive dissapointment to many people here.
