I owned a Dreamcast (but I bought it after my Gamecube), and I noticed that most of Sega's support moved to the Gamecube. So in the case of Dreamcast flopping, if I were a super Sega fan, I'd have bought a Gamecube.

For this case I'm assuming your talking about XBO. If Microsoft left gaming I'd assume their first party studios would go to Sony's PS4 (due to similar specs, and console rivaly like Sega/Nintendo). So I'd buy a PS4 then, and play Halo 6 on that.
