If there's one post that should survive once this thread is long gone, it's this one...

I'd like to add, the problem has gotten worse lately. Now that corporate heads have discovered social media, and realised that exploiting certain individuals within the company on said medium. It gives the company a face, makes it appear human and gives people the impression that said companies really care for you.

Ever notice how Sony isn't quite as "trigger happy" with the insults towards it's competitors nowadays? That gives the impression to consumers that they're trying to avoid now: Negativity breeds negativity. It's much more PR friendly to "reach out and touch someone" on social media, which then get said people doing the work defending them, instead of the company itself.

I'm not fingerpointing Sony in particular here. Nintendo were the same in the late 1990s, especially with Hiroshi Yamauchi at the helm...

Consumers couldn't possibly be choosing PS4 over WiiU because it's a better system. Design, power, operating system, how snappy it is, the online infrastructure, PS Plus etcetera. Not to mention for the games that have already been announced and will eventually be announced. And finally for a system that will get everything 3rd parties put out. Oh no, that is impossible. Come on, you can like the WiiU all you want but trying to downplay the PS4 in the same post because you don't like how popular it is is really something.

What the hell are you talking about? You've moved completely off-topic here. I'm mentioning a problem in the industry that's being exploited by all 3 major players, and it appears that all you're trying to do is proving my point to be true.

Please do try to move past the whole "team mentality" thing...you can start by showing me in the post where I "defended the WiiU".
