Did Steam's "offline mode" work during this. That is the most frustrating thing about it for me. They have an offline mode, but it just seems to be awfully executed like many things that Valve do. With their structure, they find an idea interesting and then get bored of it without ever finishing it

Did they break it again? They just fixed it mid last year....

Well did it work this time? I've never had it work for me, but maybe that's just me

Disconnect your modem and try it, should just boot into offline mode.
