A PS is stable for 10 years and the wii showed us that the consoles dont Need much power so its Not necessary to build a New one and of would be really Bad for Microsofts money all theo money for the development and marketing for nothing for only 1 year some money ? MS have no plans to bring out a new console in 2009. I think 2011 would be a better prediction.
