That probably doesn't include marketing which would probably mean a small loss

I guess with Heavy Rain making money, they'll get another chance to make some money. But you can't keep supporting studios if they don't make any money

It was discounted a lot in NA, so I don't know how that plays into effect either. 

Same in the UK where it was discounted fairly soon after release
