they did consult 3rd party, only problem was that it was ONE company, EA led them down this goose chase with their unprecedented support. Next gen they relaly need to listen to the guys who actually shown to care about their console liek your Ubisfot and your Activisions as a start, then talk some of the better devs to try and get them onboard

Its all a learning experience for them since Nintendo is ridiculously backwards when it comes to certain business decisions.
