Not really surprising both this game and Gunman Clive are only really notable for being early titles on the eShop. I have seen no media coverage of any versions other than the 3DS versions for both games. And platformers like them don't really work well for touch controls so it's not surprising they were lost in the torrent of mobile titles.

Just looking at Metacritic tells the tale pretty well

PC and iOS and to a lesser extent the Vita are flooded with downloadable titles you really need some media attention or a lot of positive buzz around your game to stand out and sell on those platforms. Congrats to the Devs for finding and exploiting an underserved niche tho. For an indie title with no marketing finding an underserved niche in the market is a key to success. People over exagerate the importance of installbase, it doesn't matter if there is a huge installbase if none of them know of or care about your title. It's better to have a small captive audiance than a massive one that doesn't care.
