I found numbers from June showing 238k for the year and 1.93m YTD. VGC is pretty much spot on for the year, but low for the LTD. Though, the LTD number seems odd to me when compared to the 2.15m from the Nintendo France interview. 238k in the first 6 months, but then only 220k in the next five ending in November? In the US November alone was more than March through June combined. Obviously the increasing importance of Black Friday plays a role, but I wouldn't expect it to be that much. Assuming the 1.93m and the 2.15m numbers are correct, then VGC from July through November has overtracked the 3DS by 207k or nearly 100%.
It also seems that the LTD discrepency goes all the way back to 2011. At the end of the year it was at 761k, VGC shows 698k.
