XBO is not "doomed" per say, but it's not tooking good. I think until Halo 5 releases, it's going to be competing against WiiU with sales, not XBO, and WiiU has the potential to do pretty good after Mario Kart & Smash Bros release.
Anything can happen, I think Titanfall will push more XBO units then InFamous will push PS4's, but if MS can't show people the XBO is worth paying a premium for by the time Uncharted (or worse GT7) release, then it won't ever measure up. It will not be as bad as the PS2 vs. GCN/XB1 days, but it also won't be a 3 way race like the last gen.
