PS4 has already outdone Wii's launch holiday by almost 500k (with 1.5 weeks to go)

Sony always promises long life cycle and great support with new IP's and contect, so they trust sony that they will have great gaming from studios like Naughty dong, Santa monica, Media molecules, Quantic Dream, Japan, studio, Sony London studio etc., and alos the hardware is great. People buy Playstation for five years not just playing for sometime in holidays and forget it.

You know, if I say I bought my Wii U at launch for a long life cycle, waiting for great games  from studios like Retro Studios, Monolith Soft, Game Freak, HAL Laboratory, Intelligent Systems etc., I would be called  a "sheep", because you know: "Never buy a console at launch"... I know it's not related to this argument, but it's really interesting to me.

This is not the same thing at all, it would be logic to wait when it comes to Wii U since nintendo consoles have a shorter life cycle, especially when the sales are bad, then, the price will surely drop again.

It's the same thing. Nintendo always support their consoles  4-5 years, Sony supports their consoles for a much longer time, but they both sell the same product, one having a shorter life cycle.

So, it's not the same thing.

So, it's logic to wait on Wii U because it will have a shorter life, and also logic to buy the PS4 right away? No matter which, never buy a console at launch!
