3DS is really showing that the main reason for PS4 beeing sold out is more due to relative low shipments. And of course handhelds and stationary consoles can be compared, both do basically the same, they are all dedicated videogame systems. There is a difference in price but the same can be said about PS4 and Xone but it obviously gets compared anyway, to me it seems to be just an excuse because it easily outsells PS4. So an obviously better selling system like 3DS has been said to be in trouble while the far less selling PS4 not. Oh the irony.

They're not the same just because you say so.

3DS sales should be divided by 3 when comparing to console, because I say so.

Do you like that?  I have some logic to back it up too.  Portable with 5:1 software ratio and $40 games versus a console with 10:1 software ratio and $60 games means one portable = about 3 times less $ worth of games sold.

You can do whatever you want. But it´s ridiculous and obviously just a way to ignore a videogame system that is doing far better than PS4. Funny and ironic that it seems to be actually the one that has been pictured as beeing doomed even with far better sales, in December 2011, 2012 and this year.

Western publishers haven´t supported handhelds for a long time now, so it´s quite obvious why they don´t generate this extra revenue. Looking at Japan on the other hand, we get a whole different picture, they actually support handhelds, therefore handhelds are the systems that actually sell far more software than any console, many even put their former console main series on handhelds. So it actually comes down to support. In the end they do the same thing, offering videogames with more or less classic button layout, the major difference is one is portable the other is not.

That's fine but PS4 & 3DS are not competitors.

The current benchmark for portables is the DS.

Vita is a big failure versus the benchmark, and versus it's own predecessur.
3DS is doing well but is behind the DS by about 30%.
