Yet, everyone blew a wad over a dog being in Call of Duty... or Master Cheif like faceless action figures in various other games... as long as you aren't puting them in direct control over the animal ala 3rd person shooter style, where they have to see them on screen all the time I think people would love a well done Star Fox game.
Nintendo's problem has been that they haven't put the resources toward such a game since Star Fox 64.
