Except it isnt a removal or a restriction - just another form of invitation that is a bit more tedious. (Of course all of this can be resolved if there were parents who would monitor their children more closely).

An example of a removal/restriction of freedom is one where you lose your 3DS and you lose all your digital content compared to the competitors where you can just log in and re-download the content via an account system.

Edit: Ok that last part really isnt a justification of a removal/restriction but its pretty damn stupid that they dont have a decent digital policy lol.

I could have added a lot more words to the list, hence the 'etc.' I put there. Equally well I could have said "making things harder or impossible" and the meaning wouldn't have changed. Anyway, my point is that your argument is so broad that you can use it to justify way too many things. I agree that children must be protected but at the same time, I think Nintendo is being lazy with their solution to the problem.
