I don't need a single reason not to buy a PS4 or One, save for their having a price. My problem is a lack of reasons to get them rather than a cooler PC.

First Party and Third party exclusives should honestly be the only reason why people should get either system (other than console exclusives i.e. for PS4/Xbox One that the WiiU will more than likely not get in the future).

I could understand getting an Xbox One at least if the "always-online/Power of the Cloud" thing were integrated into the gaming experience enough to change the way games are played (providing better AI, support for more advanced graphics, MMO-like games, etc). But even that, the one redeeming feature of the One back 6 or 7 months ago, is now gone. Heck, a case could even be made for Kinect 2.0, but where are the killer apps for it?

As things are, the PS4 and One are competent enough machines, but are simply boring, much like the PS360 duo before them. They provide little that a dedicated gaming PC wouldn't, and bring plenty of the negatives. The Wii U, despite its flaws, does something that PC's don't with its GamePad. It might not be worth the cost of admission to most people, but at least it exists.

Maybe I will get a PS4 some day simply to play some exclusives when they inevitably enter the $10 bin after a couple of years. Probably not until 2017 at the earliest, but possibly.
