Considering the 3DS is down 44% YOY in Japan, I doubt it is only down 7% in the US.

The's the one thing I don't think is overtracked. Look at last year, Dec saw a huge boost for 3DS. This year it could easily do 1.2 - 1.5m.

So, you think it's down by such a large amount in Japan, but up in the US?  Ok, I guess.  I mean, you could be right, considering Nov saw a boost this year.  But, I think it's more likely sales sifted from Dec to Nov.  I'm only expecting ~1M for Dec.


Japan saw Animal Crossing last year which was a massive succes, even reaching the top of the charts this year. No game this year has been able to replicate the hardware boost the 3ds received in 2012. The rest of the world didn't get a similar boost last year and saw an animal crossing release this year so it's entirely possible the handheld sold better.

(for some reason I'm having a hard time with words so hope my point was clear)
