Yep. Nintendo dug their own grave by once again by creating an inferior console that is barely above last gen standards (the second time in a row), but the problem is the casuals arent in to lure the third parties their way. Most of the serious third party titles never made it to the original Wii so once a good portion switch consoles and last gen consoles start to lose support the Wii U is screwed. The writing is on the wall and the shovel sticking out of the Wii U's grave has Nintendos own fingerprints all over it.

Profit's not the point in the context of what he was saying though, sales is. There is a market for these games, and a port may be more feasible than an exclusive.

Yes, but that market must prove profitable for future iterations to make themselves possible. Not only that but Nintendo is in for it because they have a console that is barely above next gen standards. 500,000 in sales was barely making it in the sixth gen and in the beginning of seventh gen.
