I don't take anything for guaranteed. But when you can create value out of thin air, why the fuck shouldn't I do it ? And if I want to do, I'm gonna use an AMD card. The laptop won't be mining exclusively of course. Mining is just a nice extra and the number 1 activity, but I can still browse the internet and watch some movies, and some games here and then, it also performs nicely. 

And I believe cryptocurrencies are money 2.0
