Had their not been a specific law specifically banning something that couldn't of happened in the first place it probably would of never went to court.

This is partially true.  While some laws have existed for a long time, a lot of the state laws and state constitutional amendments against gay marraige were pushed through after the Massachusetts supreme court decision to allow it based on the Massachusetts constitution.  So a lot of states decided they had better get something into their constitutions so a similar court decision didn't happen in their state.

Actualy DOMA the 'Discrimation of Marriage Act' as I refer to it was singed in 1996, long before Massachusetts had same sex marriage.   It was in part also ruled as a direct violation of the US Constution this summer by the US Supreme Court.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
