Good numbers for Wii U. Of course, I definitely see it dropping next year. Not under 10K, like this year, but ~20K. Without the holiday boost, and another gaming drought coming next year, there's nothing to keep it higher. At least, not until Nintendo releases some of their larger titles, probably around late 2014. We'll have to see how well PS4 does come Feb, as that might take some of the wind out of Wii U' s sails/sales, even during the holidays.

What gaming drought ? The system has by far the best line up of games for 2014. Nintendo is setting up at least 1 major release every two months - in 2013 they went like 8 months without releasing a single one. 20~k sounds like a good prediction for me, but I just wanted to point that out.

In the first few months of the year Japan will see Wii Fit U (retail), Donkey Kong Country, Mario Kart and I'm sure atleast one from the group of previously annouced games will be added to that list. 2014 is nothing like 2013 for the Wii U
