I don't think that is a significant concern.  Link's Crossbow training has review scores in the same ballpark as the Dynasty Warriors games i.e. much lower than any main Zelda game, but I don't believe that anyone thought it de-valued the franchise because they saw it for what it was, a spin-off.

Metroid Other M on the other hand.......
