I don't care about Dark Souls because they released a shitty port on PC and the console version has shitty frame rates even worse than the PC problems. Fool me once with Demon Souls, shame on me, and I have no punch lines with that one. It really is a lesser Monster Hunter with corridors if you think about it. I'd rather get right to the bosses.

Look at that port in context. Japans PC gaming market is tiny, the team played safe with what they know. PC gamers were vocal and started petitions. With blessings from Namco Bandai (evil 3rd party publishing overlord), who literally said "‘Guys, don’t worry about this – let’s just get it out and see how this works on PC.", they released the game. source - http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/12/19/dark-souls-producer-admits-pc-port-was-rushed-promises-sequel-will-be-a-good-pc-experience/

The response from the PC gamers was so good regardless that a sequel is coming out on PC. Unlike the usual gimped port, late port, no advertising excuses from the N crowd. And mind you PC gamers are a damn picky bunch. Namco Bandai has now brought Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 (of all things) to the PC, thats what happens when fans actually support the publishers. I believe the success of Dark Souls helped play a part in that, I strongly do.

The same for Street Fighter IV, Street Fighter X Tekken and Resident Evil 5/6/Revelations on PC. Metal Gear Solid Revengeance is out for PC as well. Dark Souls 2 will probably do fairly well on PC, enough to get a DS3 if it eventually gets made and at that point a Wii U version might technically be impossible or highly comprimised on the Wii U. Indeed once PS4 and X1 get their "Far Cry 2" type not possible on last gen games things will get bloody insane.

Moral of the story. If the games sell to satisfactory levels 3rd partys will come, if they dont they wont.

Secondly, late, gimped and unadvertised games came to both PC and PS3 and still managed to sell well enought to motivate 3rd partys to improve their support for the systems. Despite vocal "will not buy rants" online from fans on the said systems.

Lastly, Im looking towards Project C.A.R.S to see how feasible it would be for 3rd parties to support the Wii U as well as X1, PS4, Linux/Steam and PC simultaneously. Given how current gen ports usually struggle on Wii U I really fear for the future.

Theres no evil anti Nintendo scheme at play, its just business. Ive come to terms with that, and accept my Wii U for what it is. A system for 1st and 3rd party exclusives and not much else. As a owner of a Wii U, I have no problems with what he said. Its unfortunate but entirely logical.

I have all those Capcom games on Steam, and they run properly out the box so I have no problems with them. From Software is actually not that good of a company when it comes to coding and the games are all pretty mediocore to start with, they might have a cult hit or 2 but that doesn't speak for high quality and that's the reality of the situation. I also have not mentioned the Wii U yet, Project Cars is really a PC game that will be gimped for consoles so it's not a port to PC to start with. I'm not going to buy that thing on Wii U at 30 frames per second so in logic to From Software's shitty coding, no Dark Souls for me on Wii U ever, no fucking way in hell's inferno. Hopefully Dark Souls 2 won't suck as much balls like the unbalanced as hell game mechanics or shitty frame rates seen in previous games.
