I don't think either Smash or DKC will be 1080p. Like I said it's confused NOA reps that don't understand the difference between 1080p upscaling and 1080p native.
They said the same thing about NSMBU.
The Wii U supports 1080p, so from a rep's POV it's easy to get confused about this.
Here's a pro-tip on this -- if it's only coming from ONE source and isn't verified by multiple credible sources, it's likely a case of one media outlet getting told something from a clueless rep.
