Wii fit U´s development is 100% complete, I have seen it in stores here in Europe .

...or take your pick of any other project.  DK got delayed too.   these remixes will do nothing for anyone that isn't a massive nintendo fan.   ..not exactly the crowd nintendo needs to convince to buy a wiiU.   pretty much any other project would have been worthy of these resources.

But this game isn't made by Nintendo themself, Nintendo outsourced it to indieszero, which is a game developer who has mostly made DSiWare and also made DualPenSports (a badly reviewed game), so it's not like they could have done anything else since they aren't really good and Nintendo wouldn't let them work on their bigger titles...
The only thing Nintendo spent is money, which they probably already got back after one day of sales.
