Honestly, I never noticed that. 

I sincerely hope Wii U turns out to be as durable as the Wii in the long run. My 2009 Wii has fallen off tables multiple times from people tripping over Gamecube controller cords, but still runs perfectly. Hell, one time it fell during gameplay and the game didn't even freeze...
