I personally believe the WiiU was the natural progression for the Wii by bringing a more powerful system that still can use the wiimote and a new controller that pretty much bring the concept of the DS to a console.
Myself when I buy a Nintendo product its for its unique gameplay and there amazing first party games whether its the 3DS or the WiiU and I think thats the key to there success. Its still too early to say if the WiiU will sell or not.
