The PS2 expanded the marketshare of the entire industry . it also allowed you to do do everything and anything. It gave you casual, core and had something for everyone. I agree with this and it created a more loyal marketshare and expanded it to tech people. Nintendo found a market that will game with you for a little in a simplistic manner but will leave until you come up with another gimmick that can keep them busy for a short span of time. A very trendy bunch and its really hurting Nintendo right now.
