I already knew GameCube is tracking ahead of Wii U, but didn't Wii U used to be ahead of PS360? Anything could happen. Remember when Vita was going to dominate? The exact opposite happened.

I don't think so, Wii U might've been ahead for a very short period of time early on, but PS3/360 were more supply constrained early on (and the PS3 was $600, lol). 

PS3 sold about 440k its second November, to the Wii U's 220k. XBox 360 was 511k its second November.  

That's true, but it still was ahead for a couple of months. I'll give more examples showing that things change. PS3 was "doomed" for a long time, and 3DS used to be ahead of DS.
