Doubt what? Do you really think Microsoft if going to cut the price of the XBO so early, and do you think Sony won't cut their price in response? I remember reading an article that Sony and MS both loose money per console sold, and MS looses about $10-$15 more per console (can't remember).

There is a rumor that MS is planning on releasing a Kinect free model, and the Kinect sensor is a bit over 1/3rd the price, so if that's the case, we might a a budget $350 XBO. I'm not sure if MS will go that route, but I think they need to to stand a chance against PS4.

XBO sold better this week, but there are so many factors in play. These two consoles haven't really stabilized in terms of weekly sales, and since XBO launched a week later, there could still be some hype for it.

Anyway this is still going to be a console war, not a domination like the PS2 had. It's just I don't see PS4 and XBO being neck and neck in terms of worldwide sales, not like PS3 and 360 were. I think there will be a real battle in USA, and XBO might even win. Like you said XBO is getting a lot of exclusives next year, and the bulk of them I say appeal more to US gamers then Europeans (Still like Halo and Titanfall). Where's PS4 is looking to get games which appeal to all regeons (Uncharted, InFamous, Yakuza)

Anyway good talk.

I doubt that sony will beat microsoft in the usa in the long run. Both of them can have a price cut next year but i was saying microsoft has a bigger chance of doing it first since the console costs more. I remember reading an article where microsoft was breaking even with the xbox one. No money was being lost. I heard that rumor of a new xbox version aswell. It could be a version without kinect and a bigger HDD for $400 who knows. I have a feeling titanfall will be a huge selling games like halo and its gonna move consoles. Plus this time around microsoft has alot more 1st party studios and we all know games move consoles. That will have an impact in the sales aswell. I believe thats the reason why ps3 sold out the xbox 360. All those exclusives made people buy a ps3. This gen is gonna be better than the previous. More exclusives for both and bother have better hardware. If you dont own both you will miss out on alot of great exclusives.

It's not like the Playstation brand isn't big in the USA, PS1 and PS2 did dominate back in the day, and PS3 did fairly well too.

Guess we heard different rumors. Only time will tell in the end, but you have to agree the PS4-XBO gap in USA will be smaller then the PS3-360 gap (or in favor of PS4).

Don't forget X360 had A LOT of exclusives at the start too. Maybe not as many studios, but in terms of the sheer number of exclusives (even if you ignore timed ones), 360 had more exclusives then XBO. Who's to say exclusive support won't dwindle on XBO like it did on 360? I mean Sony's biggest studios were still primarily supporting PS3 in 2013, don't you think in the future PS4 will get a lot of exclusives too?

P.S. PS3 didn't top the 360 in the number of exclusives until 2011 This was 6 years after the 360 launched, we can't estimate what's going to happen 6 years down the road for XBO/PS4.

P.P.S. - Competition makes better products. PS4/XBO are better because of each other, and I agree with you about owning multiple consoles. I'm sticking to PC/PS4/WiiU for now, but before the 8th gen ends, if they sell XBO's without Kinect, I will get one. I don't want to miss out
