No it doesn't. It speaks volumes about how little change actually went into the Wii over the cube and about how little actual progress was made.

I disagree. There has been a huge increase between the cube and the Wii. The major one is obviously the user interface and that is where it excels. But it is 3-4 times as powerful as the cube. And online, while not perfect, smashes the cube(mainly because it didnt have one).

The Wii is about twice as powerful as the Gamecube. Phantasy Star Online Episode 1&2 and PSO3: Card Revolution were online enabled on the Gamecube.

The biggest differences between the Wii and Gamecube are the waggle wand, the ducttape and the white case.

Well, that, IR, top sales, popularity, VC, and 2 of the top 10 games of all time as exclusives.

 

Those are also pretty big differences, wouldn't you agree?

 

I think that just having Brawl and Galaxy, pretty much makes it the best system this gen, so far. 360 WOULD have that crown, but it has the RRoD, so no. PS3 just doesn't have the games to match up. Doesn't have bad games, necessarily, but I just doesn't have the kind of games that I want to play. This is my opinion, btw. I own a PS3 and Uncharted.
