This, statistics can say anything you bloody well want them to. Applies to the PS4 numbers as well of course, but at least the wider timeframe makes them more indicative of wider trends (I'll still admit though, it's best to look at console sales over alonger term, i.e. months and weeks if you want to genuinely see which is doing better, even 27mins is hardly much to be going on. Still impressive though)
Also do we have similar figures for iPhones and iPads and other things like that? I'm wondering how impressive these numbers are in the greater scheme of things
