"I don't pay attention to Brazil."
It's ok, since Brazil don't pay attention to you too. Moving on...
About dance/soccer games, we are the the carnival/soccer country, what do you expect? :P Some time ago, a research revealed that the average age of the gamer in brasil is 20. In USA, it's 30. So, of course casual/kiddy games will have a bigger market share. Most of people still have their PS2 just to play PES 06 every now and then.
About wii, the only games that you find on reatils stores are mario games. Brand value here is huge, this is why kratos is on PS3 yet. Here, the only store that actually have some diversity is saraiva, a book store. The others only have mario's and licensed ip(games from marvel, scoobydoo, etc). Look at the top 10 of all time on wii, and you will problably find the same top 10 up there.
About actual numbers, in september we actually had more infos, like top10 across all plataforms, market share between 360 and PS3, but this month i couldn't find anything, just the plain rankings. Altough, since the 3 systems launched this november(yeah, WiiU included), i believe that we will actually have a more accurate numbers this time.
"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
