To that end, yes, I think Nintendo games do suffer from a lack of originality. Not a lack of original content, but original experiences. I get pretty much the same "nutritional content" from playing modern Nintendo games as I do from games made 10, even 20 years ago; less sometimes, as in Skyward Sword. And while the quality of the experience is often better, but the "taste" is much the same.

Like someone else said in this thread, if this is true, what does it say about the rest of the industry ?

If this is true, then there is a lot more variety in the rest of the industry?
