This guy really get it. But if there will be anintendo direct for 2014 before DK release, will focus on 3DS.

I think there will be a Nintendo Direct before DK release wich will focus primary on the 3DS and the game itself(DKTF), with some tiny news about Wii U long therm plans  (Mario Kart 8, Smash, maybe Zelda). The good part comes after DK releases, because i believe there will be huge bombs prepared like Mario Kart releasing in March or the first days of April.
