I don't know if you can tell, but I really enjoyed this movie.

I honestly can't shake the whole sequence of "Let It Go", as it's really struck me on a personal level. Not only was it sung masterfully by Idina Menzel, but the animation and characterization was top notch. I really identified with Queen Elsa and her struggle with fear and self doubt (and the fact that we both have ice powers), and to see her break through in that moment was really neat (also... when she lets her hair go... Woo!).

I also enjoyed how they played around with the usual Disney tropes. Anna and Elsa are both quite unique as far as the typical Disney princess go, and the reveal that Hans wasn't some prince charming was a great change of pace. Even Olaf, who I was not initially a fan of based on the terrible marketing, was great as the comic relief (And the song "Summer" was really funny).

With Tangled, Wreck-It-Ralph, and now Frozen, Disney Animation is back. I'd even say that they're the ones to beat when it comes to animated films at the moment. It's good to see them back.

(Oh, and I loved the short film. Big fan of classic Disney so it was neat to see a new spin on the old favorites).
