Between DK, Smash, Kart, Bayonetta 2, X, and Yarn Yoshi, and whatever other games they haven't announced yet, there's virtually zero chance of a 2013-level drought recurring.

Yarn Yoshi isn't listed as 2014 but even if we say it is they'd still have to release five (six if you include MH in EU) unannounced games just to match the number of Nintendo published games from this year.

Yarn Yoshi was shown back in January 2013, and it's not the kind of game that takes years to make.

And there will very likely be 2014 Nintendo games we don't know about yet.
