Console wars make a lot more sense than a lot of other things people fight over or put emotion behind. Many people are die hards for sports teams that whether they win or loose really has no effect on them.
In the console wars, if your team wins it means more content, and more experiences in the environment you prefer to play in. Sure you always have the option of buying every game player under the sun, but most people can not justify a purchase of a device for just a couple of games.
I have every console back to 1990 sans the WiiU and XBO, plus PC, and Android, but that is just because I love games. It sucks that most of my friends are stuck with just one console so even if they are into different games they can only play what they have.
Preferably, the industry would get together and push a hardware standard like the movie and music industry have done. Until then though, I will always tell people looking for one player to get PlayStation.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
