I fixed it for you. To me, it seems more like Reggie didn't get orders from above. He most likely asked from his position to organize this and push DKC release date to next year for two reasons: To space releases (away from SM3DW) and to reveal the game at VGX and supposedly "hype" the game to increase its sales. It probably seemed like a good idea to him. Sadly, I don't agree.
