But thing is Black Friday is quite skewed between year to year. Last year the 3DS had a horrible BF performance which is why it did much better the next few weeks. 360 on the other hand had its best week in America on BF week in 2011 and 2012. I really don't think there's a direct correlation, especially since i think the $99 2DS's played a big part in this.
That said, Nintendo consoles tend to sell well throughtout the holidays so this is indeed a great sign for things to come.
